Real Madrid's Pepe Working 42-Hour Week To Return To Football

After suffering a knee injury that put the player not just in danger of missing the second half of the Real Madrid season, but also this summer's World Cup, Pepe's light at the end of the tunnel could be closer than previously forecasted.

According to a report by AS, the Portuguese defender is accelerating his recovery so that he is potentially able to return before the end of the season and certainly return for the World Cup with Portugal.

As such, the towering central defender is working seven hours a day, six days a week on rehabilitating his damaged ligament, which was successfully operated on in mid-December.

Pepe has his eye on the Champions League final, which is to be played on May 22 at the Bernabeu, and hopes to make his return on or near that date.
